meet my new nephew

we have so much to catch up on our blog. i know people want to see pictures of our growing boy and our beautiful siriana and hear about all the amazing things they are doing, but that will have to wait b/c something crazy wonderful happened this week… my brother and his wife, anna, had their gorgeous baby boy on tuesday july 7th! we went to tyler on monday so we could be a part of the big day. it was so nice to be with family on monday. siri and elena played in the pool, fought over toys, took a bath… just some good girl fun. i did some quick maternity pictures of my brother and anna when he got home from work. i was very limited with time and locations but they are so fun to photograph; i think you can really see their playful natures. that night we all gathered and ate and played the prepared name game to figure out what their son’s name will be. last year they did a super hard crossword puzzle for elena and this year it was a fun anagram game. not to brag but i solved it a billion minutes before everyone. my prize was to open the hand painted sign that anna made for his room to reveal his name. the next morning, caedmon andrew was born at 8 lbs 11 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. everything went so much smoother than last time. brother got to be in the operating room to support anna, and i got to be in there to support my brother! and to photograph the amazing miracle that is cade. he’s so beautiful and i miss him so much! here’s some pictures from his birthday and the night before.
